The Town of Gore Bay is committed to transparency and accountability in its operations. In accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), residents, businesses, and organizations have the right to access municipal records, subject to limited exceptions.

How to Submit a Request

To request access to municipal records:

  1. Complete an FOI Request Form – This form is available online or at the municipal office.
  2. Submit Your Request – Requests can be submitted in person, by mail, or electronically to the Clerk’s Office. A $5.00 application fee applies to all requests.

Response Time

The Town will make every effort to respond to your request within 30 calendar days, as required by MFIPPA. Additional fees may apply for search time, photocopies, and preparation of records.

Protecting Your Privacy

The Town of Gore Bay is also committed to safeguarding personal information under its control. Any personal information collected is used solely for municipal purposes and handled in compliance with privacy legislation.
