What is a Community Improvement Plan (CIP)?

The Town of Gore Bay is currently considering the implementation of a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) aimed at revitalizing the “district” (as shown in the 'Documents' section) by providing financial assistance for development, property improvements, and business development initiatives. This aims to inspire economic development in our core commercial area, property improvements, and revitalization.

You’re Invited!

The Town of Gore Bay invites you to the Statutory Public Meeting for the proposed Community Improvement Plan (CIP) under Section 28 of the Planning Act. The Town looks to obtain comments and feedback regarding the CIP, specifically the “district” boundaries, as well as the draft Incentive Tax Program.

  • Date: Monday, March 24, 2025
  • Time: 7:00pm
  • Location: Council Chambers, 15 Water Street, Gore Bay, Ontario, P0P 1H0

How to Participate?

You can participate by attending the meeting in-person. You can also provide your written comments for Council’s consideration via e-mail to hschlange@gorebay.ca or by mail to the municipal office before 12:00pm (noon) on Monday, March 24, 2025.
