Property Taxes

Gore Bay municipal taxes are billed twice a calendar year. Interim Tax Notices are mailed in March and are due on the last working day in April. Final Tax Notices are mailed in August and are due on the last working day of September.

If you have multiple properties, payments must correspond to the appropriate roll number as found on your tax notice.

Payments can be made via the following methods:

  • In person by cash, cheque, or debit
  • A bill payment with BMO or Scotia Bank
  • E-transfers to taxpayment@gorebay.ca
    • Please put your account number in the payment description
  • Via a monthly payment schedule.

Water & Sewer

Water and sewer services are billed in two equal bills annually. The first bill is mailed in April and is due on the last working day of June. The final bill is mailed in October and is due on the last working day of November.

If you have multiple water accounts, payment must correspond to the appropriate account number found on your bills.

Payments can be made via the following methods:

  • In person by cash, cheque, or debit
  • A bill payment with BMO or Scotia Bank
  • E-transfers to waterpayment@gorebay.ca
    • Please put your account number in the payment description
  • Via a monthly payment schedule.

Methods of Payment

The Town of Gore Bay is committed to providing accessible methods and flexible payment options to make it easy for residents and property owners to stay up to date with their property tax and water and sewer payments. We strive to offer excellent customer service and multiple payment methods to suit your needs. Whether you prefer to pay online, in person, or through your financial institution, we have convenient options available to help you manage your payments hassle-free.

Your local Financial Institution should also be able to assist you with payment.

*Please provide your financial institution with your 19 digit roll number for property taxes or your 5 digit account number for water and sewer taxes.

The Town Office is open to the public Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, except for statutory holidays. Accepted forms of payment are cash, cheque, and debit .

The Gore Bay & Union Library drop box is also available for after-hour payment drop offs.

  1. Log into your online banking or App.
  2. Go to your e-transfer section to send money.
  3. Add taxpayment@gorebay.ca or waterpayment@gorebay.ca.

*In the comment section of the e-transfer please enter one of the following: your 19 digit roll number for property taxes or your 5 digit account number for water and sewer taxes.

Without this information, it will be difficult to process and apply the payment appropriately.

  • For tax payments: add 'Gore Bay' as a payee. Your account number is the 19 digit roll number.
  • For water and sewer payments: add 'Gore Bay' as a payee. Your account number is the 5 digit number found on our bill.


*Please note that these options are only available through BMO Bank and Scotiabank. 

You can enroll in an automated payment plan where the amount is withdrawn from your bank account at regular intervals throughout the year. Please contact the municipal office at 705-282-2420 for assistance with this payment option.
